Phillip Berry

Coach Phil is a native Floridian that grew up in the South Florida area. He developed his love of the sport playing beach volleyball in Deerfield Beach, FL. He and his family (Wife Jennifer and daughter, Allee) moved to the Tampa area in 2011.

His passion for the sport lead him to play indoor high school volleyball where he was named Captain for his Jr and Sr year, helped lead his team to an undefeated season, and earned recognition for being one of the top 6 players in Broward County. In addition, he played club volleyball for a few different local traveling club teams, competing in AAU and USAV National tournaments.

Phil continued his love for the sport by playing in several different local and national tournaments on different formats, beach doubles, grass triples, and Adult USAV Indoor travel teams. One of the most notable was winning the Bud Light Beach Volleyball National Championships.

Over the last couple of years Phil has been coaching at local clubs landing with Dynamite as an asst in 2021 and Head Coach in 2022 of the U14 Black. He led this team to a record of (Carlos to complete) and a 2nd place finish in the Bronze Division at AAU Nationals.
